The IOMSN is dedicated to sustaining and expanding the sub-specialty of MS nursing. Based on this mission, the IOMSN has developed an on-site fellowship program in the Spring of 2023 as a means to encourage and prepare more nurses-in-training for the rigorous practice of MS care. Participants will experience a 5-day immersion into the clinical setting at the MS Center at the State University at Stony Brook, NY. It is scheduled to take place on October 30 - November 3, 2023 under the auspices of our colleagues Patricia Melville, Marijean Buhse and Dr. Patricia Coyle.
Once applications have been received, the IOMSN Fellowship Task Force will select five nurses from the United States and one from Canada to participate in our Fellowship program.
IOMSN will cover:
● air travel
● ground transfers
● related travel expenses
● 5 nights hotel stay
● meals, and
● learning materials
Completed applications are due on Saturday, JULY 15, 2023. Successful candidates will be notified of the Task Force's decision no later than July 31, 2023 so they may plan their work and travel schedule.
