We are delighted to announce that Lisa Kelly, MSN, RN, MSCN is the recipient of the 2026 IOMSN First-Time Nursing Author Award.
Lisa's award-winning paper:
Fractured Memories, Enduring Self: A Feminist Autoethnography of Cognitive Impairment in Multiple Sclerosis
published in the Journal of Nursing Scholarship (2025), brings an essential voice and nuance to MS nursing scholarship. Through feminist autoethnography, her work centers the lived experience of cognitive impairment and the limitations of current practice while advancing our understanding of how people maintain identity and agency in the face of neurological change.
This award recognizes Lisa's important contribution to first-time authors in MS nursing research. As the recipient, Lisa will receive complimentary registration to the CMSC 2027 Annual Meeting in San Diego and will present her work at a future IOMSN webinar, with the date to be announced.
