It is an incredible honor to serve as President of the International Organization of Multiple Sclerosis Nurses (IOMSN). As I begin this journey, I do so with deep gratitude for the leaders who have shaped our organization, especially our founder, June Halper, whose vision established a professional home for MS nurses and transformed the specialty of multiple sclerosis nursing. Her legacy continues to inspire our mission and our commitment to excellence.
Throughout my career, I have witnessed the extraordinary difference MS nurses make in the lives of people living with multiple sclerosis and their families. We are more than clinicians — we are educators, advocates, researchers, and compassionate partners who help patients navigate every stage of their journey.
As we look to the future, my vision is centered on one simple belief: when we care for one another, we strengthen our ability to care for those we serve. Through our Nurses Caring for Nurses initiative, we will continue to foster connection, mentorship, professional growth, and a welcoming community where every member feels supported and valued.
Together, we will build on IOMSN's remarkable legacy while embracing new opportunities to advance MS nursing, strengthen our global community, and improve the lives of those affected by multiple sclerosis.
